Reception Timeline

A timeline can keep a reception from lasting forever. People love to visit and time tends to get away. If you have a timeline, fun traditions (like the bouquet toss) won't get forgotten or postponed so much that lots of people don't get to see it.

Assign people to do things like light candles and turn on decorative lighting. A wonderful thing is to have someone announce each
special moment of the reception: Toasting, Cake Cutting, Bouquet Tossing and Garter Throwing, etc.  This can be done by the Best Man or the Maid of Honor, too.

Be sure to let the wedding party know how long to stay dressed up. Many times, they change before important wedding reception photos are taken.
