Above are samples of Reception Decorating Checklists that I have used. Remember, they are only examples.

Reception area decorating can be as simple as cake and punch or as elaborate as a sit-down dinner. Be sure to draw out a floor plan and have separate drawings of each component, such as a table arrangement. That way, your helpers will know exactly where to put everything.

Always test all of the lights and make sure that decorations are hung securely. Light all of the candles and blow them out, unless they are
dripless. This makes them easier to light for the actual reception. Instead of trying to move the gift table and guestbook table from the foyer, you might want to set up duplicates in the
reception area.
